Abstract:

Interleukin-17 (IL-17) signalling plays a critical role in inflammation and disease, with IL-17 antagonists already in clinical use for conditions psoriasis. However, the structural basis of IL-17 receptor–cytokine interactions remain poorly understood. This talk explores recent structural biology advances that reveal key paradigms of IL-17 signalling. Using structural and biophysical approaches, we examine IL-17–receptor interactions, the role of IL-17RA as a receptor versus co-receptor, and implications for therapeutic development.
