The Office of the Vice Dean, Research, Innovation and Health Science Education (RIHSE) encompasses research and two major education activities in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine – Graduate Education and Undergraduate Education in the Life Sciences including Arts and Science and other interdivisional teaching. RHSE also oversees the activities of the Department of Teaching Labs (DTL), advocates for graduate and undergraduate students and promotes innovative research and education in the heart of Canada’s largest health care research hub.

The scholarship and fellowship programs administered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) have been streamlined into a new harmonized program called the Canada Research Training Awards Suite (CRTAS). The new program launches this summer and provides graduate students and postdoctoral researchers with additional funding opportunities.
