Gabrielle Pegado

My name is Gabrielle Pegado and I am a second-year biochemistry student at the University of Victoria.

I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Amgen Scholars Program this summer. I will be joining Dr. Tim Corson’s lab, where I look forward to learning new experimental techniques to study ocular disease mechanisms, as well as gaining exposure to the development and delivery of novel chemical compounds. I am particularly interested in visual neuroscience and this experience will allow me to build on my previous work with electrodiagnostics and ocular imaging.

Outside of academics, I enjoy learning languages, baking and playing the piano.
