Pamela Plant
Biography
Pamela Plant, PhD., is currently the Director of Graduate Professional Development for the Institute of Medical Science and an Assistant Professor (Teaching Stream) in the Faculty of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. Here, her portfolio focuses on developing a skills-based curriculum for biomedical centered private and public sector careers, with her research focused on student confidence, agency and outcomes.
She is deeply committed to helping graduate students discover confidence, purpose, and direction in their careers in academia and beyond. Pamela’s work has transformed how graduate education prepares scientists for meaningful, diverse careers. Pamela has over 25 years cultivating research in translational genomics, most recently as a former Genomics Specialist and Adjunct Scientist at the Keenan Research Center for Biomedical Science at UnityHealth.
