Rose Esplen

My name is Rose and I am from Cloverdale, British Columbia. Currently, I am entering my fourth year at the University of Toronto, double majoring in Neuroscience and Physiology with a citation in French. I am also a member of the Varsity Blues Women's Water Polo Team. I enjoy crocheting, beadwork, karaoke and dancing.

This summer I will be working under Dr. Julie Lefebvre whose lab works on developmental biology and neural circuit formation. I am very excited to work in a lab that targets my interests so closely. I have been deeply interested in the field since high school and had it nourished in my Introduction to Neuroscience lab course. I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of the AMGEN Scholars Program this year.
