The 2024 competition is now open!
TRANSFORM HF is an Institutional Strategic Initiative, formed in partnership between the University of Toronto and the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research. Our focus is on digital innovation for equitable access heart failure care. Our Trainee Awards support University of Toronto graduate students and postdoctoral fellows who are conducting research that advances equitable care and incorporates lived experience. Research must be centered on one or more the following themes:
Field-ready point-of-care diagnostics
Wearables and embedded sensors/remote monitoring
Data science innovation in heart failure prevention, treatment, or care
Digital health implementation
Up to three awards will be reserved for Indigenous graduate students or graduate students from underrepresented student populations. Trainees must be co-supervised by two TRANSFORM HF members from two different disciplines. Award levels are set at $20,000/year for master’s/PhD trainees and $40,000/year for postdoctoral fellows.
Consult the Program Guidelines for more information. To apply to TRANSFORM HF’s USRP, submit a completed Application Form and all supporting documentation as a single PDF to info@transformhf.ca by 5:00pm EST on March 18, 2024.
