"Project ECHO as Interdisciplinary Health Professional Education on Care for Persons with Developmental Disabilities"
Our next LRR will feature Kristen Smith, a postdoctoral fellow at the Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre, CAMH. Dr. Smith’s doctoral research examined mindfulness in occupational therapy for children, for which she received the Mindful Society Spirit of Leadership Award in 2019. Her postdoctoral research centers on accessibility of mindfulness for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the impact on their daily life participation. Dr. Smith also conducts research in the field of health professional education with an emphasis on interprofessional education. She is particularly interested in examining curricular and pedagogical approaches that support the development of future health providers’ competency in providing care to diverse populations.
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with a leader reshaping healthcare education and research.
