MBP Career Development Webinar Dr. Andrew Maidment
The MBPCDA is honoured to host Dr. Andrew Maidment, Head of X-Ray Physics Lab at the University of Pennsylvania and Chief of Physics for the University of Pennsylvania Health System, on April 20 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Dr. Maidment will be giving a talk on the Use of Virtual Clinical Trials in the Design of a Novel Breast Tomosynthesis System.
Dr. Maidment's Biography:
Dr. Maidment received his PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto in 1993. He now heads the X-Ray Physics Lab at the University of Pennsylvania and serves as the Chief of Physics for the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He has spent more than 30 years developing x-ray imaging systems, with a particular focus on tomosynthesis, including the development of several novel metrics of image quality and fostering the field of virtual clinical trials to design, test, and validate novel imaging systems.
