Our mission is to foster a supportive and empowering community for women in science.

With four extraordinary scientists, this seminar is designed to support and inspire students pursuing careers in science. This session will highlight practical strategies for advocating for yourself and others, navigating academic and professional spaces, and building a more inclusive future in STEM.

In this seminar, we aim to spark thoughtful conversation around the challenges of women in science. We’ll explore how students can advocate for themselves and others in academic and professional settings—equipping future leaders with the confidence, strategies, and support to foster lasting change. Together, we’ll celebrate progress, confront barriers, and build a more inclusive scientific community.

By fostering collaboration and allyship, Toronto Women in Science Talks (TWIST) is committed to transforming how institutions approach diversity, equity, and inclusion—paving the way for a more equitable future for all.

Refreshments will be provided for all guests.
