Recent Research Experience: Gut hormone research in the EDRG platform
Current Research: My thesis focuses on studying the molecular mechanisms behind intestinal growth induced by Glucagon-like peptide-2, whose analog is now a therapeutic drug for people with short bowel syndrome.
Why Faculty of Medicine? I chose Faculty of Medicine because of the wide breadth of research topics that are being studied, its reputation internationally, and because Toronto is a great city to live in!
Future Education Plans/and or Career Goals: I am considering both academic and non-academic careers and am keeping my options open.
