Queen Elizabeth II/Dr. Arnie Aberman Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology

To be awarded to students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine on the basis of academic excellence. Students must have maintained an overall A- average over the last two years of study at the post-secondary level. Recipients should also exhibit research ability/potential, good communication skills and interpersonal/leadership abilities. Preference will be given to graduate students enrolled in the clinician-scientist training program of the Department of Medicine.

Queen Elizabeth II Government of Ontario/Community Health Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology

The Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector.

Obstetrics and Gynaecology 

Queen Elizabeth II/Pharmacia Canada Inc./Genesis Research Foundation/OBGYN Graduate Sscholarship in Science and Technology

The Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector.

Psychiatry

Queen Elizabeth II/Gregory M. Brown Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology

To be awarded to students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine on the basis of academic excellence. Students must have maintained an overall A- average over the last two years of study at the post-secondary level. Recipients should also exhibit research ability/potential, good communication skills and interpersonal/leadership abilities. First preference will be given to MD-scientist trainees enrolled in the Institute of Medical Science who is training in Psychiatry research. Second preference will be given to graduate students enrolled in the Institute of Medical Science under the supervision of faculty members of the Department of Psychiatry.

The Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector.

Surgery

Queen Elizabeth II/William K. Kerr Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology

The Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) program is designed to encourage excellence in graduate studies in science and technology. The program is supported through funds provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and funds raised by the University of Toronto from the private sector.

Surgery

Queen Elizabeth II/Medicine/Patty Rigby and John Wedge Graduate Scholarships in Science and Technology

The award should alternate yearly between the Department of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Surgery.

During the years that the Department of Surgery holds the award:

  1. First preference will be given to students in the surgical-scientist trainee program.
  2. Secondary preference will be given to graduate students in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine under the supervision of faculty members of the Department of Surgery.
