Dr. Liyanage's Biography:

Dr. Liyanage is an MBP graduate and Assessment Officer/Clinical Scientist with the Therapeutic Products Directorate at Health Canada. Her doctorate research at MBP was focused on preclinical drug development for hematological malignancies such as acute myeloid leukemia. After graduation, she completed a 1-year Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and Quality Operations program at Seneca college, which helped her get a Regulatory Assistant position with the Therapeutic Products Directorate at Health Canada. She was later promoted to her current position. Her works involves the review of clinical safety and efficacy of new oncology drugs at the pre-market stage
