The Office of the Vice Dean, Research and Health Science Education (RHSE) in the Temerty Faculty of Medicine is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the 2024 Spring Pathway Grant:
Dr. Landon J. Edgar, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, for his research titled, “Chemical technologies for controlling T cell glycosylation in health and disease.”
Dr. Kozeta Miliku, Department of Nutritional Sciences, for her research titled, “Addressing a Global Public Health Concern: Investigating the Impact of Ultra-Processed Food on the Development of Multimorbidity during Adolescence.”
Dr. Matthew B. Buechler, Department of Immunology, for his research titled, “Elucidating the role of BIGH3 in lung fibrosis.”
Dr. Peter J. Roy, Department of Molecular Genetics, for his research titled, “A Systematic Investigation of How Animals Defend Against Liver-Damaging Drugs.”
Dr. Jill I. Cameron, Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy, for her research titled, “Co-Designing Person and Family Centered Care Across the Stroke Care Continuum.”
Dr. Karen L. Maxwell, Department of Biochemistry, for her research titled, “Investigating how prophages manipulate key virulence pathways to enhance phage and host survival.”
The Pathway Grants program functions as an internal CIHR bridge grant for top-rated Project Grant proposals from on-campus Temerty Medicine applicants. Up to six grants per competition are awarded each spring and fall.
