Eleven undergraduate students from across Canada have been selected to participate in the prestigious Amgen Scholars Program at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.

An initiative supported by the Amgen Foundation, the Amgen Scholars Program is designed to provide undergraduate students from around the world with exceptional research experiences in science and biotechnology. With a commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists, the program offers hands-on research opportunities, mentorship from leading experts and a like-minded community of peers.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome this group of exceptionally talented young scholars to our vibrant U of T campus this summer,” said Stavroula Andreopoulos, professor of biochemistry in Temerty Medicine and director of the Amgen Scholars Program at U of T.

As part of the program, Amgen Scholars conduct 10 weeks of hands-on research with faculty, explore cutting-edge projects and participate in professional development and networking activities.

“Being selected as an Amgen Scholar is a reflection of dedication and scientific potential,” Andreopoulos said. “We look forward to seeing their contributions to our research community and their growth as future leaders in innovation”.

Congratulations to the 2025 Amgen Scholars!
